Castles in the Air and Shacks here on Earth

"Do not worry if you have built your castles in the air.  They are where they should be.  Now put the foundations under them"         Henry David Thoreau

I have several mission statements;  a personal, family and a business mission statement.  I like to think of them as my castles in the air.  My goals are the foundations under them.  While my mission statement and goals line up, my thoughts often seem to reflect a negative mindset.  I have begun to pay attention to those thoughts and try to align them to my goals and missions.    An example is our mission statement in regards to financial matters states Prior Accounting will provide an adequate salary and excellent ROI to the owner.  A goal is to increase monthly billings by $2400.00 by December 31.  These are great, but what about daily thoughts which drive daily actions?  I am a very positive person, but some of my thoughts are very pessimistic.   "Please let me make enough to pay this months bills", "Maybe I should lower my prices, people might think they are too high",  "I'll never make enough to be financially independent, things never change."  While I quickly put them out of my mind, I haven't changed them into positives yet.   I am going to continue to continue to monitor my thoughts and change them to positives.

Please leave comments, I want to hear how you line up your thoughts, goals and missions.
